JOOLS CHAFFER: PUSHING THROUGH!
Today was a legs and abs session for Jools Chaffer. Despite having low energy from his strict cutting diet Jools had to stay motivated, keep pushing the weights and most importantly to stay injury free at this stay in the programme. Leanne knows how vital it is to be 100% there for her client and to get each and every repetition done as well as trying not to increase the weights too much since Jools’ energy was at an all time low! Jools meal times now consist of 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm which include 50g protein a day, fruit (to provide vitamins, minerals + a few carbs) as well as 2 squares of chocolate a day. He is not consuming any carbohydrates after 4pm. The aim is to decrease his body fat so that his muscles are rippling come photoshoot day 😉
Legs are the hardest body part to work as they incorporate some of the largest muscle groups and once worked burn the most calories at rest. Jools was still keeping the volume at 3 to 4 sets for each leg exercise of squats, leg press, leg extensions and adductors. Leanne once again put Jools through his paces with her abdominal workout, planks and lower abdominal work. Jools is at his lowest weight of 10st 9lbs. We are on the right track and Jools is counting down the days now….
