JOOLS CHAFFER: BODY COMPOSITION TESTS AND SHOULDERS
Jools and Leanne met for another Personal Training session. As always Leanne likes to test her clients and since Jools has very specific body fat and body building targets, today was the day to test whether the training and diet was on track. Since the initial weight and fat loss tests he is going to have to work really hard to see any further fat losses as well as muscle gains….as well as having a strict exercise and diet regime to look forward to! Welcome to Leanne’s world His body fat has gone down from 16.67% to 14.62% in the past month (30th May Jools’ body fat was 22.80%!) as well as reducing his hip and waist measurements by 1cm and 0.5cm respectively this month (30th May, Hips – 94cm, Waist 91cm). The size of his biceps had increased too!
Then for the shoulder workout! Shoulders are quite a hard muscle group to train as the shoulder joint is a very unstable joint. To handle the size of the weights that Jools needed to….has taken months of training to get him to this stage in his training programme. At the end of the workout he had 36kg in each hand cranking out shoulder shrugs. Way to go Jools! But as with everything fitness related……working hard and pushing big weights is essential, but so is the ‘rest’ phase of the training programme where the body really adapts to the last 3 weeks of training. This is when the muscles grow, repair and recover. It is also a chance to re-gain mental freshness as a strict training regime can be extremely draining. Bring on the next phase!
