March 4th, 2013
On Sunday 10th February 2013 I stood on the start line of the Midmar Mile, South Africa. Also known as The World’s Largest Open Water Swim Race!! There were literally thousands of swimmers competing over various distances over the weekend of the 9/10 February 2013. I stood on the start line for my 8:30am start time and swam (no wetsuit) 1 mile (1.6km) from one end of Midmar Dam to the other. The water was cold to start with but I soon got warm as I started to speed up!! I finished in 30mins38secs
Keep training hard everyone and you can do anything you put your mind to.
