JOOLS CHAFFER: LAST SESSION UNTIL THE HARD WORK REALLY STARTS!
Jools and Leanne completed another session together where Jools was pumping his bulging veiny biceps and and his awesome back muscles again. Since this was the last ‘easy’ session before the final 6 week stretch of serious work and dietary cutting. Before The Big Photoshoot it was important to make sure his mind and body were ready for what was to come. So Leanne’s job was to ensure that his body was strong enough to handle the overload to come, to iron out any niggles and to prepare him mentally for the toughness of the challenge ahead. Since they last completed a back and bicep session together (5th September) his training has progressed enormously, this mainly due to the fact that Jools had put a lot of work in on his own and had been increasing the weights steadily.
Something that is required of Leanne’s clients is a positive mental attitude, one of Jools’ best qualities as well as his desire to succeed! Something that was also discussed was Leanne’s past experiences racing internationally and how to prepare mentally for a big event. Whether it was the GB Triathlon World Champs or The Chaffer Photoshoot both are equally important and both require the same dedication, determination and motivation to put in the hours of training on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
The following qualities are a must if an athlete wants to succeed:-

- Desire to work hard and follow the programme through – to get the job done!
- Self motivation (in bucket loads!)
- Grit and determination
- Planning and preparation
- Getting to the finish line/main goal against all odds!
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A GOAL AND A DREAM IS A DEADLINE!!
